Christchurch Cathedral Square Live Web Cam

This live camera is placed high on top of a building in central Christchurch overlooking the heart of the city, the Cathedral Square. Cathedral Square is named after the Christchurch Cathedral which proudly takes centre stage in the square.

The square has a police kiosk one one side of it so there is always a police presence to keep the centre of Christchurch city safe. During the day there are active stalls and markets selling all kinds of art and crafts and food stalls also.

There are many public events held in the square including a large New Years Eve concert followed by fireworks at midnight. There is usually an alcohol ban for the heart of the city so a good time can be had by all including family and children
